2018 ICPHSO International Symposium

Social media is no longer optional for brands; it is now a critical part of any brand strategy.  In this engaging and interactive session, three major brands will review current examples of social media posts and memes impacting on product safety. These examples, drawn from an international perspective, show consumers misusing products in a manner that would provide any responsible brand cause for concern.  The panel will provide attendees with a “toolbox” of approaches to address concerning social media at the “right” level given the varying risks. Recognizing that each factual social media situation differs, the toolbox will provide examples of successful (and unsuccessful) attempts at managing and controlling these risks. We also hope attendees will be willing to participate with their own examples.
