Richard Frewin is an experienced national and international regulator. He is currently working on the development of the UK’s national product safety capability.  He is leading on a number of projects relating to product safety risk assessment and the coordination of market surveillance activities.
 
Richard was formerly the head of the UK’s market surveillance authority responsible for a diverse range of European legislation from Ecodesign to tyre safety. He began his career as an Enforcement Officer in Local Government and developed national specialisms in Product Safety, Legal Metrology, Consumer Rights and Environmental Protection.
